Trip ITINERARY

Days 1 & 2 | Şuncuiuş-Vadu Crişului
Discover the white pottery of Bihor, several wooden churches and visit two important caves: Unguru Mare Cave, a show cave with ancient human settlements and Vadu-Crisului Cave, with beautiful speleothemes and an underground river that gives birth to a nice waterfall as it comes out to light.

Days 3 & 4  | Remetea-Chişcău
Visit Meziad cave nature reserve, learn about the importance of bats and discover how the lime kilns are still working in the area. Visit an unusual but unique local museum, the famous Bears’ Cave and a 3- century old wooden church.

Days 5, 6 & 7 | Country of the Motzi & Oradea
Explore the Highlands of The Apuseni Mountains: visit a traditional water-mill, learn about conservation initiatives in Apuseni Nature Park, visit Scarisoara Ice Cave. Take a ride in the horse-carts to a typical valley and visit the Tauz karst spring (the deepest in Romania). At the end, relax in the thermal spa near Oradea and discover the city center.


 
 

Accommodation

In Vadu Crisului you will stay in a 2-daisy guesthouse with rooms of 2 and 4 beds, bathroom on each floor, fully-equipped kitchen, hot and cold water, central heating and a nice terrace to warm up from the sun. The guesthouse is located at the upstream in the Crisul Repede Gorge.

In Remetea-Rosia area accommodation is offered in a 2-daisy guesthouse, in rooms with 2 beds and shared bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold water, central heating. The household also has an ostrich farm that you can visit and the hosts can prepare exceptional Romanian and Hungarian menus.

On Aries Valley you will be accommodated in 2 and 3 daisy guesthouse, in rooms with 2 or 4 beds, shared bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold water, central heating.
